Mark Cuban Just Figured Out Why He Wants To Quit ‘Shark Tank’ After More Than 10 Years

It is common for shark tank investors to walk away from a pitch, but there is one so captivating for Marc Cuban that he is considering quitting the hit show, itself, for that.
Exclusively Forbes profile, the entrepreneur sat down and talked about his biggest bets and his trajectory from Pittsburgh native to Dallas-based billionaire. His notable on-screen investments range from Simple Sugars to Tower Paddle Boards, but his recent venture includes a giant leap into the world of pharmaceuticals.
So, the deal worth jumping ship? Drugs at cost-plus. In fact, the TV personality is even considering stepping away from the ABC show that launched him into mainstream prominence. “Part of me wants to quit,” he told the outlet. “They will survive well without me.”
In January 2022, Mark unveiled his fully realized Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company (MCCPDC), a business model that changes the current model of the pharmaceutical industry and offers Americans significant savings on necessary treatments. He previously explained that the concept is an “opportunity” to disrupt the prescription drug industry.
Despite a slew of shark tank victories and defeats, it is the first company to which he attaches his name. “It’s not so much Cost Plus Drugs as having a daughter who just left for college,” Mark told CNN. “Before, when they were all in high school and went to the same two schools, all of our schedules could be worked out together. But it was more about wanting to spend more time with my family.
