#OperationHaftaVasooli RBI Receives Complaints Against 1,509 Digital Lending Applications
In a written response to a question about MoS Finance loan applications, Anurag Thakur said the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) hinted that it had received complaints against 1,509 digital loan applications.
The minister said the RBI has received complaints against 1,019 unregistered or unregulated digital loan applications and 490 registered NBFCs that are engaged in digital lending.

In December, the central bank warned the general public against unauthorized digital lending platforms / apps by calling for a background check on the service provider, the minister added.

In response to another question, Thakur said that 41.75 crore accounts were opened under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) on January 27, 2021.
